Bradford, PA: Passes a Homeowner and Bank Protection Act

The City Council of Bradford (pop. 9000) last night became the 16th Pennsylvania municipality to adopt a resolution supporting the HBPA and Rep. Harold James' HR 418. The Council President told a LaRouchePAC representative that conditions in this economically depressed area have deteriorated since an Indian casino opened just across the border in New York State. "People are desperate," he said, "they go there to gamble and wind up losing their cars, their homes... foreclosures are very bad in this area."
