HBPA Adopted in Jim Thorpe, Pennsylvania

December 15, 2007 (LPAC)--The Borough Council of Jim Thorpe, Pennsylvania unanimously adopted a resolution last night, supporting the Homeowners and Banks Protection Act and Rep. James' HR 418. Jim Thorpe is a municipality of about 5000 people in the old anthracite coal belt of northeastern Pennsylvania. The state capital of Harrisburg, a city of 50,000 people, had passed a support resolution two days before, which is being distributed to the state legislature at the direction of the City Council.
