Netanyahu to Meet Obama Today to Press Against Iran Deal
September 30, 2013 • 10:16AM

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will be meeting President Obama at the White House today and, according to Israeli sources, he will be bringing a "dossier" that shows that Iran already has enough highly enriched uranium to build a bomb. According to one Israeli blogger, the Israeli PM is totally flipped out over the prospects of genuine P5+1 negotiations with the new Iranian government, and is desperate to sabotage the talks before they get underway. The next scheduled meeting of the P5+1 is in mid-October. According to blogger Gilad Atzmon, ex-Foreign Minister and close Netanyahu ally Avigdor Lieberman is pushing for Israel to launch a surprise attack on Iran's nuclear enrichment facilities, just as Israel attacked Iraq's Osirak reactor in the early 1980s. After his White House meeting, Netanyahu will go to New York City to speak before the UN General Assembly on Tuesday. According to Ha'aretz, there have been extensive consultations between Israeli officials and representatives of several Persian Gulf Arab states in recent days, all centered on the growing common alarm at the U.S.-Iranian diplomacy. Not only did Secretary of State John Kerry meet with his Iranian counterpart on the sidelines of the preliminary P5+1 meeting in New York last week, President Obama held a 15-minute phone conversation with President Rouhani.

If Netanyahu and Bandar are working together to sabotage the P5+1 negotiations, you can expect almost anything to erupt in the coming days.
