Euro Fascists Launch Attack on Greek Anti-Memorandum Leader

The international financial oligarchy has launched a vicious campaign against Panos Kammenos, leader of the Independent Greeks party and one of the most outspoken political leaders against genocidal policies being forced on Greece by the financial oligarchy's European Union. Kammenos is a former member of the ruling New Democracy party and left the party because of his opposition to the Troika memorandum's dictated bailout. He formed the Independent Greeks with other former members of the New Democracy who also rejected the bailout.

The Euro fascists, operating through their assets in the New Democracy party and the yellow media, have activated renegade former New Democracy members, including Independent Greeks party spokesman Christos Zois and trade unionist Yiannis Manolis to run an operation to wreck the party and slander Kammenos. Both these traitors are getting massive media attention from the pro-bailout neo-liberal media, especially the Skai Group, which owns a major TV station known for its yellow journalism, and which owns Kathimerini daily.

Kammenos's ostensible crime is his alleged willingness to form a unity government with the left-wing Syriza party, in order to put aside party politics and unite to save the country. He is even accused of wanting to leave the euro. Whether the allegations against Kammenos are true or not, even Greek resistance fighter/composer Mikos Theodorakis has called for putting aside party politics and forming a movement to unite the Greek people behind a policy of rejecting the bailout policy and saving the country.

Greek intelligence sources told EIR that this operation is being run by the highest levels of the pro-bailout, pro-euro Greek establishment and the media whores who can be expected to launch a campaign of lies and slanders in an attempt to destroy Kammenos.
