Man is the only creature on the planet that can control fire. This has been recognized since the legend of Prometheus. Of course, it takes some knowledge to wield fire. Right now, the American west is experiencing several major wildland fires that we are struggling to deal with. I'll describe the current fire conditions, how we got into this situation, and how we get out of it.
