Argentina: Sovereignty is a Global Cause

As we are approaching the April 2nd, 30th anniversary of the Malvinas war between Britain and Argentina we've seen a political escalation around the question of Argentine sovereignty over the islands. As the British are accelerating the militarization of the entire South Atlantic, President Fernandez de Kirchner has insisted that the issue is a global cause, of principle-- the principle of sovereign nation states who wish to advance the state of mankind, versus a declining empire that seeks to destroy it.
