The Extraterrestrial Imperative
2 years 29 weeks ago

If you are still suffering from "bottom up" thinking, in this episode we provide the top down view of our universe, from the future to the present, as opposed to looking at things from the now to the future, in order to guide you in making the proper decisions from the proper vantage point, in the present.

ORIENTATION

"To come to live in space, as travel between Earth and Mars, and dwelling there betwixt and between, requires that man change his environment to bring the condition of travel and Mars-habitation into conformity with normal human requirements. We must create “artificial environments” as the buffer between normal human requirements, as if on the surface of Earth, and an equivalent effect of human life for man under the conditions of travel and habitation in tolerable, and reachable parts of the Solar System with characteristics outside the standards of Earth's surface."

So writes LaRouche in his paper, Economics as History, published in September, 2009. No mission for mankind more aptly expresses our nature as a creative species than the exploration and development of space, beginning with Mars as an initial step. With such breakthroughs still to be made as harnessing the power of nuclear fusion, and the immense industrial and social gear-up required for such a mission, we will see enormously transformed cultural relations between people whose society is going off to the heavens instead of miring about in the muck of monetarism and economic devastation. LaRouchePAC is composing an ongoing series of presentations, spearheaded by the basement, on our upcoming, fusion-powered voyages to the Moon, Mars, and beyond.

A. COLONIZING MARS

From the Moon to Mars - The New Economics

Explore the “Extraterrestrial Imperative” for humankind to develop both our own planet as well as the rest of the solar system. A new economics of space colonization begins with the industrialization of the Moon as a precursor to accelerated, fusion-powered flight to Mars.

From the Moon to Mars - The New Economics Part II

Part two of The New Economics deals with fusion-powered spaceflight as an integral part of national economic planning, by examining 1.) The measurement of physical-economic value and the notion of physical profit, 2.) The case of the 1960 Apollo Project as a physical-economic science driver for the United States, and 3.) The frontier questions of science that will represent both the impetus for, as well as the fruits of, a fusion-powered Moon-Mars program, especially in the area of biology and the relationship of electromagnetic radiation to living processes. Watch this, and you'll never again believe the lie that “space travel costs too much.”

The Forty-Year Mars Colonization Project

EIR Special Report elaborating a forty year plan for Mars colonization, including focus on technologies which will qualitatively drive breakthroughs in all forefronts.

Colonizing Space With Fusion Propulsion

By Freidwardt Winterberg This 1981 article by Freidwardt Winterberg covers the fusion process, extraterrestrial mining, and the expanding colonization of the galaxy over millennia.

B. COSMIC RADIATION

Kesha Rogers' Victory Launches the Rebirth of a Mars Colonization Policy!

By Sky Shields. The opportunity created by this victory puts on the table the urgent questions of accomplishing this economic development of the Solar System: the first steps of lunar industrialization, and successfully undertaking a manned mission to Mars.

Towards a New Periodic Table Of Cosmic Radiation

By Peter Martinson. In this brief report, I will define cosmic radiation in terms of the problems posed by Planck, Einstein, and their collaborators, and then describe some of the areas of clear research opportunities, and some potential experiments to be carried out.

Onward to Mars: The Triumph of the Weak Forces

By Oyang Teng. Like Poe's purloined letter, the evidence for the “harmonious cosmic mechanism” is all around us. The vast experimental data on cosmic radiation and its connection to cycles of climate, biodiversity, and mass extinctions are substantial, albeit preliminary, hints at the effects of biological regulation at an astrophysical scale1Sky Shields, “Kesha Rogers Victory Launches the Rebirth of a Mars Colonization Policy!” . A rich material-energetic connection binds the earth with the solar system and the entire galaxy.

The Significance of Biological Research in Space for the Development for a Unified Field Theory

In this report, we would like to point out some additional biological research areas which will only be opened up by an adopted mission of long-distance, short duration, manned space flight. This research will answer fundamental questions for life on Earth, questions which are not subject to being addressed under conditions found on Earth...
