February 14, 2011 marks the 100th anniversary of the birth of Robert J. Moon (1911-1989), an important figure in 20th century nuclear science, and a close collaborator of the LaRouche movement. Oyang Teng interviews Larry Hecht, Editor of 21st Century Science & Technology magazine, on Moon's involvement in America's wartime Manhattan Project, his role as a founding member of the Fusion Energy Foundation, and his pioneering work on the fundamental structure of the atomic nucleus.
