LAROUCHEPAC:

Barney Running Scared, Local Dems Plan Anti-LaRouche Rally
September 4, 2010 • 7:21AM

We are getting repeated reports from around the country, from leading Democrats, that Barney Frank is running scared of Rachel Brown, and has curtailed all his usual fundraising efforts for other Democratic candidates, to put all his money into his own renomination and reelection. And now, the Newton Democratic City Committee is putting out a call for an anti-LaRouche rally, at the site of the scheduled Sept. 7 cable TV debate between Barney and LaRouche Democrat Rachel Brown.

After weeks of the Brown campaign fielding teams of organizers everywhere in the district, and Rachel putting out a call for supporters to rally before the debate, Barney's backers could not stand the thought of a lively, bel-canto Rachel Brown rally going unchallenged. So Barney has called his own rally, and the Newton Dems are putting out the call: "Barney needs your help holding signs outside the debate location in Newton to show your support." And the kicker: "Pizza party with Barney back at HQ after the debate." Pizza with Barney? Consult your physician first. It may not be kosher.
