LAROUCHEPAC:
Years after Lyndon LaRouche and EIR made available to people the importance of developing thorium as nuclear fuel, Britain's Daily Telegraph International Business Editor Ambrose Evans-Pritchard, in yesterday's column, has appealed to the Obama Administration to develop this technology, arguing that it will not only be a boost for U.S. science, but surely a more fruitful way to pull the U.S. out of perma-slump than a scattershot stimulus. It is evident that Evans-Pritchard (or his bosses) has recognized the necessity of rejuvenating the nuclear technology in order to find a way out of the worldwide economic collapse.
Evans-Pritchard explicitly calls for a "new Manhattan Project," and argues realistically for it. The fact that the Daily Telegraph, which is practically a wing of the current Tory government, is promoting this, is obviously significant.
EIR will be further pursuing this story.
