LAROUCHEPAC:
Kesha Rogers, Democratic Party candidate for the 22nd Congressional District in Texas, today issued a statement elaborating how the NAWAPA program which her campaign is supporting, will create millions of jobs to launch a real recovery. Rogers will be holding a series of meetings to organize qualified cadre to work on the program, including one at San Jacinto College Central this evening.
Rogers laid out the perspective thus:
"While the insane President Obama is trying to create a people-less recovery, by writing the 99ers (those who have been unemployed 99 weeks or longer, and have lost their unemployment insurance) out of the statistics on the economy, the reality is that the system is bankrupt, unemployment is worse than at the height of the Great Depression, and Obama is out on vacation. While mainstream political hacks in both parties offer the non-solutions of cutting, or privatizing, public safety nets, my campaign is moving on a real solution: we are pulling together a cadre of expert scientists, engineers, and patriotic Americans, to coordinate with the LaRouche PAC, and the other two LaRouche Democrat candidates, to function as the advisory committee to the government we represent, in launching the North American Water and Power Alliance (NAWAPA).
"On the other side of Obama's resignation are the engineering blue prints to physically rebuild today's bankrupt economy, starting immediately with NAWAPA. In charting a course for the destination of mankind's betterment, NAWAPA, along the way, will create upwards of three million jobs in the productive sector, by constructing an integrated system of dams, canals, tunnels, power plants, and reservoirs, to green the deserts of the Southwest with water brought over the Rocky Mountains from Alaska. To accomplish this mission, we must build new cities, to facilitate the construction and maintenance of the project, which means employing millions more as police, firefighters, doctors and nurses, teachers, and all those other professions that hold society together. Such an undertaking will necessarily revive FDR's Civilian Conservation Corps, as a skills-training program for our unemployed youth, who need to develop the experience and self-image to be successful.
"NAWAPA also lays the basis for other infrastructure megaprojects, such as upgrading the national highway system to a national high-speed rail system, which in turn can connect across the Alaska-Russia Bering Strait to form the world landbridge. By learning how to engineer the biosphere itself, our scientists will be better equipped to green the deserts of Mars, but in order to get there they will have to discover fusion propulsion, for which the Moon supplies an ample amount of fuel, in the form of lunar dust, rich in He3 isotopes. Once fusion and fission energy is developed on a vast scale, mankind will have figured out how to domesticate the entire periodic table of isotopes, putting at our disposal the ability to create whatever resources we need, cheaply and abundantly."
