LAROUCHEPAC:

Candidate Rachel Brown Addresses Middleborough, MA Constituents While Barney Runs Scared
August 26, 2010 • 2:20 PM

Middleborough, MA -- Congressional Candidate and LaRouche Democrat, Rachel Brown, delivered a powerful address to a two hundred plus crowd of veterans and their families in Middleboro, MA, this evening. Although the event was a “meet the candidates” event, with a chain of candidates giving four-minute speeches, Rachel Brown’s speech was the only speech confidently addressing solutions to national problems, and going after the two biggest enemies of the American population right now, Obama and Barney Frank. After Rachel's opponent Barney Frank delivered an unintelligible speech frantically trying to kiss the butts of the veterans in the audience, Rachel immediately began by saying: “We are in a fight right now, in the United States, for the lives and the souls of the citizens.” She followed by focusing on three major things. She identified that Barney Frank lied about being against budget cuts, because he supported the cuts to medicare in the president’s healthcare bill. She then proceeded to lay out the need to return to a Franklin Roosevelt policy, focusing upon Glass-Steagall, and re-employing people, especially young people, through the implementation of the North American Water and Power Alliance. The crowd cheered when Rachel called for the immediate removal of Obama and when she identified Barney’s lies, asserting that with Obama out of office, we could launch the NAWAPA recovery program today. And when she ended her speech with another call to impeach Obama, the place once again erupted in applause.

Campaign organizers reported that the biggest response from the event attendees in discussions after Rachel's speech, was to the NAWAPA. People were in favor of impeachment, but did not necesarilly want to discuss it too much. One veteran was asking very specific questions about how the NAWAPA would develop the East Coast. He offered to set up a meeting with Rachel Brown and get the idea of NAWAPA out to all his friends. Many people were very struck by the bold nature of Rachel’s campaign, but also her speech. Two Democrats came up who had seen Rachel speak at a Wareham fund-raiser, and told her they had been horrified at the response the audience had given to her there, but they voiced their support for what she represents. A few police officers who were patrolling the “Meet the candidates” event, overheard one campaign organizer briefing people on Rachel’s platform, and said he would go home and get on the website to watch Rachels’ speech. These were the same police officers who said they get tons of calls when we are in town, campaigning.

It was very clear that the effect of the Rachel Brown campaign's mass-effect organizing has resonated throughout the state. Several people in the crowd reported that they were already in contact with the campaign, including a good number of people who were discussing the campaign's method of intervening into neighborhoods and towns by singing and hosting classical music concerts. Attendees reported seeing Barney Frank sheepishly sneak out before the end of the event, so as to ensure that he would not have to talk to any of his own constituents.

The primary is happening on September 14th, now less than two-and-a-half weeks away. It's clear that Rachel Brown has the political upper hand, and that Barney must be shaking in his boots, wishing he'd never called Rachel a dining room table.
