LAROUCHEPAC:

Kesha Rogers Blasts Pete Olson's "Deal With The Devil"
August 1, 2010 • 10:00AM

In a statement issued Saturday, Democratic Congressional candidate for the 22nd District in Texas Kesha Rogers blasted incumbent Republican Pete Olson for his "deal with the Devil," namely President Obama, around the shutdown of NASA. Rogers' full statement appears below.

"Congressman Pete Olson's latest attempt to play 'Let's Make a Deal' with the insane President Nero, is forcing the NASA community into early, permanent retirement. Olson would rather compromise with Obama, despite the President's intention to destroy NASA, instead of call for his impeachment.

"While United Space Alliance employees are getting pink slips, my campaign is out on the ground, mobilizing people around impeaching Obama; but Olson is working with the Democrats to pass legislation, spending $80 million on so called 'job transition training', for jobs that don't even exist!

"Anyone who still thinks that Pete Olson is serious about saving the Constellation program, guess again. He has already given up the fight, he will continue to 'go along to get along', and compromise on principle. As I have said repeatedly, anyone who tries to make a deal with an insane President, is unfit to serve in office; we must force Obama to resign, and reinstate Glass-Steagall protections of our commercial banking system. Over 75% of the population wants Obama out now, and that is why I am unwavering in leading my campaign's drive to force his resignation, before the November 2010 elections. Nothing short of this could save NASA, or the country.

"We must immediately restore the pride and dignity of the scientific community, by restoring a vision and mission for the nation, modeled on the leadership and vision of President Kennedy. It is no coincidence that at the time we were first charting a course to the Moon and Mars, we were also planning a continent-wide, integrated water and power system, known as the North American Water and Power Alliance (NAWAPA). While it will take several years to gear up the necessary technology and infrastructure to establish permanent industrial trade routes with the Moon, NAWAPA is a full scale productive jobs program that can be launched more or less immediately. Our scientific community can use its expertise and foresight in managing the NAWAPA program, while we train a whole new generation of engineers and scientists among the youth generation, for expanded manned space exploration."
