LAROUCHEPAC:
Once again the institution straight out of the Inferno, The Brookings Institution, held a discussion on the need to butcher people through austerity and take down the inefficient institution known as government. They decided to host a special event; Peter Orszag's last public appearance. The event was a celebration of all the wonderful Fiscal Accomplishments of the Obama Administration, such as throwing money at Wall Street and Hitler-care. Orszag was adamant about making sure government doesn't give welfare checks to people that are convicted felons, although there was no mention of making sure government stopped giving welfare to the criminals sitting in Manhattan and London financial institutions.
Unfortunately for Orszag's miserable "swan song," the second question was asked by LPAC member Rick Lopez, who praised his Bean Counting and willingness to impose brutal austerity — "We know it will butcher the poor but what of it ..." — and then Rick proceeded to sing a song inspired by Obama and his fascist bean counters. Lopez was escorted from the room when he finished the song, but when the event broke up, nobody was talking of anything else.
The Wall Street Journal Health Blog, undoubtedly in the first of many such reports, headlined "Orszag Upstaged by LaRouche Supporter," and admitted the dynamic contrast: "Orszag's speech was an old affair, a familiar recitation of the interventions that President Barack Obama made to stave off the second Great Depression, the deficit reduction power of this year's health care law, and the efforts to trim government and make it more efficient. Then, when the question-and-answer period began, the budget director picked out a young man standing to the side.
"He introduced himself as a representative of L-Pac (LaRouche PAC), and launched into a song to the tune of "Funiculi, Funicula." — 'Peter Orszag and Larry Summers, they're fascist pigs, they're fascist pigs,' he began in a loud, strong voice."
The Journal notes that Orszag then sought escape in "a more familiar face, Washington Post columnist Ruth Marcus"; but Marcus let the audience down by "steadfastly refusing to sing her question about the budget deficit." When LYM organizer Asuka rose to ask, "What's the difference between your policies and the Nazis'? — I don't see any", Orszag froze and said nothing.
