Americans are now remembering their historic identity as a force against empire. Suddenly 1776 seems like yesterday for Americans as they remember that the attempt to kill the American republic in its shell didn't succeed, but successive attempts to destroy it have occurred ever since. Today, Americans can see this British Petroleum catastrophe as one of those attempts. We have a short interview with historian Colin Lowry that surely will remind Americans of that anger they felt in 1776, and the need to take an active approach to defeat the British empire for good.
