LaRouche: "Global Cooling Has Already Taken Over; Only the Idiots Don't Recognize It"

On Jan. 15 Lyndon LaRouche discussed the process of global cooling that has already taken over on the planet:

"What you are getting, is that you're actually in a global cooling phase, and the way this thing is defined—people have to get on to this and understand this—is that there's a balance level between the average temperatures in the oceans between the point where you get ice year-round, or nearly year-round, in the water, and where you get water instead. And that's a slight difference in temperature.

"What is happening now, is we are getting an ice pattern which means that, in what was formerly Port Arthur, which used to be the last area which was not frozen over in the winter-time, and was the Russian base which the British and Japan went against in the naval attack on Port Arthur. And now you are back to the question in this whole area, where we are talking about this railway system and maglev system, we're talking about an area in which we have to have an anti-freezing component to the environment. Because we are already getting into a 30-60 year ice cycle off the coasts in the ocean.

"There's a freezing point of salt water, of the normal saline level, and at that level you get the difference between ice formation or plate ice floating in the ocean, because the ice comes from the top of the water. In the ocean you get plate ice being formed, which means it is lousy for shipping in that area. And we are going back to plate ice in this area. Which means that Siberia is going to get very cold.

"This is exactly what makes the whole nuclear thing extremely interesting, because under a nuclear/thermonuclear fusion program you can deal with that problem. Without it, you can't."

"We have to educate people on this. Because it's a very simple thing to understand, but they have to get up to speed, otherwise they will miss the point.

"It's a very simple thing. When you have sodium-normal concentrations in the oceans, which are now higher than they were... You see, mankind and the mammals have a lower level of saline-content in the blood system and related systems, than you get in the oceans today. That's because the salination has increased since mammals came into existence. So therefore you have a thing where the freezing point of salt water is a crucial factor in the Southern and Northern Hemispheres on ice formation. And that's where your glaciation formation occurs: in the areas which have an average temperature which is below the freezing level of ocean water. And you have to take the whole region of the fluctuation in that basin.

"What you are getting, is we are going into a long-term cooling problem—which is not really a problem, if you have enough power. And that means nuclear power. Without nuclear power, parts of the world which have been inhabited are going to be very unpleasant soon, for a 30-60 year period or longer.

"That's the fact of the matter, and people have to take this into account organically, because that's the truth of the matter, which has already hit. Global cooling has already taken over. Only the idiots don't recognize it.

"You know, you have a Baby Boomer and his wife turned into icicles—because they didn't understand global cooling."
