LAROUCHEPAC:
In the Dec. 20 Sunday Telegraph, Ambrose Evans-Pritchard singles out German Chancellor Angela Merkel as an enemy image for anarchist terrorism. In the climate of the attack against Italian Prime Minister Berlusconi, this action should be taken seriously.
Evans-Pritchard quotes the same passage by Merkel on "dictating" adjustment to Greece that we earlier reported in this location. However, he says that this "diktat" attitude risks provoking a "terrorist response across Southern Europe." Anarchist and left-wing violence has increased in Greece, Spain and Italy, targeting symbols of "capitalism," among them the EU.
"Germany is being swept along by events like every other country that entered EMU blindly. Yet here is a German Chancellor talking about 'dictating' to the Hellenic Parliament, within living memory of the Axis occupation, the Swastika flag on the Acropolis, and the hated Security Battalions. Neither Greece's Communist unions, nor Greek Army officers, will react well to such diktats. That goes double for Epanastatikos Agonas and fellow terrorists."
