LAROUCHEPAC:

Financial Times Threat: If Health Care Doesn't Pass, "The Obama Administration Will Be Pronounced Dead"
December 22, 2009 • 10:22AM

In a scarcely veiled threat to Obama's Presidency and person, the London Financial Times's U.S. commentator Clive Crook wrote on Dec. 21 that "if the system fails to spit this thing up for the President's signature, the country will be deemed ungovernable and the Obama Administration will be pronounced dead." However, what matters is not whether the bill is hated by the right and by the left: "What matters is the failure to rally the country behind an initiative that at the outset, voters strongly supported ... the healthcare bill in its current form is a mess — and an unpopular mess to boot."

Lyndon LaRouche commented that what Crook says is approximately true, but what also should be said is: "Maybe the British Monarchy is about to go dead. Maybe Brits shouldn't be talking about American institutions going dead. What about the British institutions, which seem to be not performing too well lately?"

LaRouche added: "Without a question, after what happened to Berlusconi, this looks like a threat. The British are up to it again: when they can't win, they make trouble."
