LaRouche: What World Bank President Zoellick Said About Alternatives to the Dollar "Is All Bullshit"
September 28, 2009 • 2:34PM

In remarks delivered today at the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS), World Bank President Robert Zoelick discussed the lead-up to the upcoming annual meeting of the World Bank and the IMF, set to begin on Oct. 3 in Istanbul, Turkey.

"The next upheaval, whatever it may be, is taking form now. Shape it or be shaped by it," wannabe oracle Zoelick pronounced. "The U.S. would be mistaken to take for granted the dollar's place as the world's predominant reserve currency. Looking forward, there will increasingly be other options to the dollar."

"This is all bullshit," Lyndon LaRouche commented matter-of-factly. "If the dollar goes down, the whole system goes down. This is crazy; we have to say it, because it's a big delusion. The big delusion is that there are other markets. There are not: if the dollar goes down, the whole system goes down."
