May 24, 2008 (LPAC)-- The National League of Cities, a Rohatyn-Bloomberg assault on national sovereignty, intervened at the San Bernardino City Council, to stop the potential endorsement of Lyndon LaRouche's Homeowner and Bank Protection Act. The League's conduit, City Council Member Chas Kelly, said, "We being members of the League of Cities organization, we should endorse the policies that the League are endorsing". He also said the League, "Only wanted to move with bills that were introduced already into the Congress."

So the decision was made, on May 20th, to endorse H.R. 5818 and H.R. 5579 instead of the HBPA -- these legislations will not at all address the severe realities of the world financial crisis, precisely for the reason that their authors' have yet to join the majority of the population in admitting that there is one.
