LaRouche: "Scoundrel Dean" Must Release DNC Plan for Seating Florida and Michigan Delegates

April 23, 2008 (LPAC)--Florida Democrats Sen. Bill Nelson and Rep. Alcee Hastings have demanded that Howard Dean's Democratic National Committee publicly release its recommendations on how to handle the appeals of Florida and Michigan to seat their delegations at the Democratic Convention, according to The Hill of April 21.

American statesman Lyndon LaRouche responded, "This scoundrel Howard Dean refuses to tell anyone what the DNC intends to do. This case is tiresome, when his DNC refuses to discuss this claim. We want Dean to leave the DNC, but we don't at all want to see Screamer Dean's backside."

Sen. Nelson and Rep. Hastings criticized the DNC for keeping secret its staff's recommendations on the appeals of Florida and Michigan. Their April 3 letter said they feared that the DNC "may choose to adopt the secret recommendations without a hearing." They wrote, "The Democratic Party is an open party ... it would be inconsistent with the DNC's commitment to openness to keep actions on these appeals under a cloak of secrecy."

A spokesman for the DNC said the two co-chairs of the Democrats' Rules and By-Laws Committee have two weeks to review the staff recommendations, and when they do, they will make them public. Sen. Nelson and Rep. Hastings held their April 3 letter for two weeks. They released it on April 21, because they fear "scoundrel Dean" may not respond.
