January 8, 2007 (LPAC)--Hillary Clinton put the economy and war as the central focus of her Iowa caucus election eve message to voters.
"As we start this New Year, America is at a crossroads. We're a nation at war in a dangerous world. We have a faltering economy, an energy crisis and 47 million people without health care. But after seven long years of this administration, we finally have the opportunity for a new beginning," Clinton asserts. This ad will run in Iowa tonight.
In an earlier ad featured on her campaign website the war and economy focus is direct and graphic with a camera shot of an upturned empty soldier's helmet followed by a pan on a foreclosure sign: "A country at war abroad, and in trouble at home..."
