October 25, 2007 (LPAC)--In what can only be understood as an extreme act of desperation, and, also, a seed potential for mass social chaos, a Houston, TX chemist committed suicide during a 12 hour standoff with police. It appears the man, who was recently divorced with financial problems, was ready for a standoff, as he had prepared the house, nailing plywood to the windows and doors, and had a large cache of weapons and explosives.
The drama was triggered when the man pulled a gun on 4 deputies attempting to serve a warrant for the foreclosure of his house. Finally, after about 12 hours of attempted peaceful interventions, and 3 tear-gas deployments (the man also had a chemical suit and gas mask, similar to the type used by HAZMAT teams), while officers approached the house, the chemist shot himself.
Learn a greater lesson. Without the measures outlined by the "Homeowner and Bank Protection Act," social chaos will tear the nation, and constitution, apart.
Speaker Pelosi, why aren't you listening?
