The recently delivered warning by Gen. Nikolai Makarov, that Russia may launch a preemptive nuclear assault on NATO's missile defense system, should serve as an immediate wake up call to anyone who doubted the accuracy of Lyndon LaRouche's warnings of the countdown to thermonuclear war.

The following is an open letter issued to the Detroit City Council by LaRouche PAC endorsed candidate for U.S. Congress Bill Roberts (MI). The city council is considering implementing a financial control board of the likes of which were imposed on NYC in the 1970s, which gutted the city's industrial capacity and replaced it with the disasterous speculative Wall St. investment firms. In a webcast given by Russian Federation Prime Minister Vladimir Putin on December 15th, in response to a question as to whether he feels that Russia is surrounded by foreign enemies, Putin stated that, “Russia has many allies.” He continued, “We would like to be allies of the United States, too.”
